The short answer

The Integrity Roofing resource center is a library of roofing information for Phoenix Valley homeowners. It includes a roofing cost guide with estimated price ranges, in-depth guides on topics like tile underlayment and monsoon prep, a roofing FAQ with hundreds of answers, a glossary, roof type comparisons, a blog and a monthly newsletter.

What you'll find here

We built this hub because homeowners kept asking us the same good questions: what a roof should cost, how long tile underlayment lasts, what to do after a monsoon and how to read an estimate. Rather than answer them one call at a time, we put the answers here so you can read them whenever it suits you.

Each resource has a different job. Some give a quick answer, others walk through a decision step by step. Start with whichever matches your question.

Roofing cost guide

Our Roofing Cost Guide collects estimated price ranges for common roof work in the Phoenix area: repairs, tile underlayment replacement, new tile, shingles, spray foam, coatings and flat roofs. It also covers add-ons such as permits, decking, ventilation and solar panel detach and reset.

The ranges come from published information from several Phoenix-area roofing companies and cost guides, and every source is listed. Every roof is different, so use the guide for planning and rely on an on-site estimate for your actual cost.

Homeowner library of in-depth guides

The Homeowner Library holds our longer guides. They go deeper than a quick answer, covering how to hire a roofer, when tile underlayment needs replacing, how to prepare for monsoon season, how to read an estimate and how to handle a storm claim.

The library also includes a seasonal maintenance calendar, guidance on solar and roofing, attic heat and ventilation, flat and foam roof care, HOA approval and safe checks you can do from the ground. You'll find a list of trusted outside resources there too.

Roofing FAQ

Our Roofing FAQ has hundreds of short answers to specific questions. It's the fastest way to look up something like how long a shingle roof lasts in Arizona, what causes a ceiling stain or whether slipped tiles are a problem.

Answers are written to be direct, and many link to a longer guide if you want the full picture.

Glossary, roof types and the blog

Roofing has its own vocabulary, and an estimate can be hard to follow if you don't know what a cricket, a valley or a drip edge is. The roofing glossary explains these terms in plain language.

If you're choosing a material, our roof type comparisons explain how tile, asphalt shingles, spray foam, coatings and flat roof systems differ in lifespan, upkeep and fit for Arizona heat. The blog covers timely topics, seasonal reminders and what we're seeing on Valley roofs.

The monthly newsletter

Our monthly newsletter brings seasonal roof care to you. Expect reminders before monsoon season, tips for checking your roof after storms, and practical advice for keeping a roof in good shape through Arizona summers and winters.

Past issues are posted on the newsletter page, so you can read back through them at any time.

How to use the resource center

Where you start depends on what's going on with your home. These paths cover the situations we hear about most.

  • Planning a re-roof: read the cost guide for estimated ranges, compare materials on the roof types page, then use the library guides on reading estimates and repair vs replace.
  • After a storm: start with the library's storm claim and monsoon guides, check what you can safely see from the ground, and call us if you see damage or a leak.
  • Buying a home: read about roof inspections and underlayment age, check the cost guide for the market range of a paid inspection, and look up unfamiliar report terms in the glossary.
  • Living in an HOA: read the HOA approval guide before you choose a tile profile or color, and ask your HOA for its approved product list early.

Planning a re-roof

A re-roof is one of the larger projects a homeowner takes on, and the right choice isn't always a brand-new roof. On many Valley tile roofs, replacing the underlayment and reusing the tile is an option. The cost guide shows how the ranges compare, and the library explains how to tell which one your roof needs.

Once you have a sense of scope, the guide to reading estimates helps you compare bids line by line. Learn more about our roof replacement work.

After a storm or buying a home

Monsoon season runs June 15–September 30, and wind, rain and blowing debris can crack tiles, lift shingles and loosen flashing. Our storm guides cover what to look for from the ground, how to document damage and how an insurance claim usually works. For help with storm damage, see our damaged roof page.

If you're buying a home, the roof is worth understanding before you close. Our guides explain what a roof inspection looks at and how to think about the age of the underlayment on a tile roof.

When you're ready to talk to a roofer

Reading can take you a long way, but an on-site look is the only way to know what your roof needs and what it will cost. Call us at 602-548-3770, Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. If we don't answer, leave a message and we'll return your call within 24 hours.
